Forma Adventure Low Boot Review
About a year and a half ago I was preparing for my first real Adventure motorcycle trip. We were heading from Tucson to Cabo San Lucas and back again. I had been saving for some time to purchase new, or in some cases actual riding gear for the first time. I didn’t have enough money to try and fail with any equipment, so I was nervous when finally pulling the trigger on each and every purchase. My Forma Adventure Boots were no exception. Despite, or perhaps, because of what I considered extensive research, it seemed unlikely that I would be able to fill all of the categories I needed filled with a single pair of boots. I wanted boots that were affordable, comfortable, durable, functional, waterproof, and stylish. Boots that I could wear for any adventure on or off the bike. Lets be honest, no one wants to make room in their pack for multiple pairs of shoes/boots. (flip-flops excluded) After all were bikers, not cagers with unlimited storage.

Other reviewers might write about the distinguished history of the Italian boot manufacturer, the finish, double stitching here or there, the materials used to construct the different parts of the boot, etc.. Well, I’m not that guy. So if you’ve made it this far and are looking for the technical breakdown, stats, or figures, then click elsewhere to save yourself some time. If however, your looking for a no nonsense appraisal of adventure boots, then please continue reading.
The Forma Adventure Low Motorcycle Boots @ $239 from www.Revzilla.com , are on the cheaper side of higher end adventure boots. Simply Affordable – CHECK.
These boots are comfortable! Comfortable to ride in, comfortable to wear around town, even comfortable enough to do limited hiking in the mountains. (A few miles is all this heavy set biker is good for anyway) I was pleasantly surprised that the break in time was almost zero due to light weight, flexibility, and especially a wider fit. It isn’t common to find an “American Fit” from a European boot. ‘Merica ! Comfort – CHECK
The durability of the Forma Adventure Low boots was a complete unknown when I opened the box. The plastic buckles and straps had me concerned. After 10k plus miles split between Sea level, Desert, Mountain, every day street riding, and all the hikes and nights out in between, my Adventure Lows’ have held up wonderfully. The heavily lugged soles barely show any wear, the buckles are still rock solid, the waterproofing is still perfect. Now they are dirty, scuffed, and slightly scarred from falls and kicking rocks that would have broken toes, but they are still as functional now as the day I opened them. Durability – CHECK

The functionality of these boots is obvious. Everything you see and feel, the Forma Adventure Low boots deliver on; protection in the toe and heel, shift pads on both boots, good interior and exterior ankle protection, aggressively lugged soles that grip everything well, soft top liner with solid velcro closures. Waterproof to the top buckle. Rain, water crossing, fjording, or hurricanes (mine have been through two) these boots have kept my feet completely dry. On a special note, despite the waterproof design, my feet have never over heated or sweat badly. 110 degrees F + in Arizona and Mexico in the summer and they don’t even smell bad. A year and half of use and going strong. Functionality, Waterproof – Double CHECK
Now style might be subjective, but come on, who doesn’t think these boots look rugged yet refined enough to wear with jeans everyday. Again, were bikers, not cagers! So, wether your looking for the Low, or the full size Forma Adventure Boots, get them. PERIOD. You wont regret it. Just throw on a pair of jeans and walk the town (after you rode it first I hope), or hit the trails for a high end off-road adventure. Your Forma’s wont let you down. If your like me, you’ll enjoy the look and function of these boots so much that you wont even think about looking at another pair riding boots for years.
